July 31, 2021 — Lab Research Presented at 13th Annual Podocyte Conference

Casey Williamson presented a poster on "Divergent impacts of Nck1 and Nck2 loss on diabetic podocytopathy", and Jones Lab Alumnus Dr. Claire Martin presented a talk on "Complementary Nck1 and Nck2 signaling in podocytes controls alpha actinin-4-mediated actin organization, adhesion and basement membrane composition" at this year's hybrid Podocyte Conference in Manchester, UK and online.

April 20, 2017 — Banff Conference Dates Announced

The 11th Conference on Signalling in Normal and Cancer cells will take place from April 15-19, 2018. This conference brings together leading researchers in signal transduction from across Canada and, in some cases, the world. These researchers are involved in various aspects of cell signalling research, from the membrane to the nucleus, and from basic research to translation research.This event is organized by Dr. Jean-François Côté from the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal/Montreal Clinical Research Institute and Dr. Nina Jones from the University of Guelph.

Nov 6, 2015 — Claire and Rachael Attend 2015 American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week

Claire and Rachael traveled to San Diego to attend the 2015 American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week from November 5th to the 8th. Claire presented her work ‘The ShcA phosphotyrosine adaptor protein modulates nephrin endocytosis’ at the poster session with great success. More photos of the event can be seen here.

March 27, 2014 — Jones Lab Tours Banff

From March 23rd to the 27th Dr. Nina Jones, Claire Martin and Ava Keyvani Chahi attended this year's Conference on Signalling in Normal and Cancer Cells in Banff, Alberta held in memory of Dr. Jones’ post-doctoral advisor, the late Dr. Tony Pawson. Dr. Jones presented a talk detailing the lab's work on nephrin-Nck signalling in kidney podocytes, and Claire and Ava each presented their research in the poster sessions. The trio additionally enjoyed touring Banff and the beautiful Lake Louise. More photos of the trip are available here
